Nikita von Tiraspol, the enigmatic DJ, producer, and visionary behind Kontrapunkt, has carved out a distinct sonic identity from the heart of Leipzig, Cologne, and Vilnius’s underground. For years, Nikita honed his ear as a vinyl pressing engineer at r.a.n.d. muzik, an intimate position that immersed him daily in the cutting edge of unreleased music. This immersion ignited a deeper passion, and in 2017, Kontrapunkt was born – a label defying boundaries, weaving through a spectrum of genres from the industrial cadence of techno to the freewheeling spirit of House, Tribal Rhythms, Trance, Ambient, and Breakbeat.

Nikita’s own productions reflect this restless exploration, a kaleidoscopic journey through sound. His discography includes the deeply introspective album “Entscheidungen” via mystictrax, the evocative album “Iki Pasimatymo!” released with Noorden, a trippy 3-step dance-floor remix for MARIA Die RUHE, and an upcoming EP with Vilnius-based singer Agnesa Martin, which pushes the envelope further, embodying his ethos of constant evolution.
