The prolific Italian label This Is Not brings to life its second parcel of the year: Dellacasa’s “I Like That” is a vibrant fusion of Córdoba’s rhythmic heritage and Chicago House DNA. The two original tracks exude sun-soaked energy, pairing Latin-inspired percussion with swinging basslines and radiant synthwork designed for summer nights. DJ Jes complements the release with a masterful remix, applying his signature hypnotic touch to transform a cut into a minimalist, groove-heavy odyssey.

Premiered here, the effervescent title track encapsulates Dellacasa’s genre-blurring vision. A bouncing synth riff anchors the track, accented by playful vocal snippets and kinetic conga patterns that nod to Latin dance traditions. The production builds with calculated restraint but filled with an absurd groove that showers the mix in kaleidoscopic colour. What elevates it is the balance between spontaneity and precision – live-sounding percussion dances around a rock-solid 4/4 foundation, creating tension that’s irresistibly euphoric. We like that!
