Hailing from Viedma, the Argentinean artist Volon brings a decade of seasoned expertise behind the decks to his latest offering, the “Mi Propósito” EP, coming soon on Logia Records. The parcel is a testament to his profound dedication to electronic music’s foundational tools, showcasing a love affair with legendary drum machines and vintage synthesisers that informs his entire creative process. His journey as a selector effortlessly bridges the gap between timeless House rhythms and the more shadowy, contemporary corners of Techno, a versatility clearly present across this release. The package includes two of his own compelling original works, augmented by reinterpretations from two young and promising figures in the scene: Papo Urricariet and Borja.
The second half of the EP is elevated by Borja’s exceptional rework of the title cut. The La Plata-based force expertly pivots the original’s intention into a driving, peak-time weapon.
