856 // OVERKWACID – The Raven

OVERKWACID lands on Bravers with The Raven – the label's fourth release, celebrating the collective's 10-year anniversary.

Bravers marks a decade of subterranean pressure with a commemorative strike of iron and ice. “The Raven,” the label’s fourth transmission, channels this milestone through a focused roster: OVERKWACID and Eebone deliver original dispatches, while Sergey Timoshov, Gofreeze, and Eebone himself provide their own frost-laden reinterpretations. The EP functions as a stark reaffirmation – a cold, hypnotic alloy of Techno and Electro forged with industrial grit, machine-tooled precision, and a starkly post-human gaze. It is a manifest from the shadows, a definitive artefact from a collective that operates beyond the pulse of the mainstream.

Premiered here, OVERKWACID’s title piece is a grim and magnificent kinetic sculpture. Uncompromising rhythms act as a relentless piston drive, over which mystical synth layers unfurl like vapours in a frozen vault. The broken, impulsive beats introduce a frayed, biological tremor into an otherwise steel-clad framework, creating a profound and unnerving tension. It constructs an immersive architecture of shadow and flickering data-light, suggesting not a dance floor but a charged site of automated ritual. The track feels like witnessing a private, ancient ceremony conducted by obsolete machinery – a digital haunting that is as intellectually rigorous as it is physically commanding.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
