867 // DREAM DAYS – Liberate Your Body

DREAM DAYS debuts on Nubians Of Plutonia with a darkness-soaked parcel.

Hailing from the current source of madness in the world, DREAM DAYS lands on Nubians Of Plutonia with a new EP. The producer, who has previously appeared on NEIN and Samo Records, here grounds his collection in corporeal existence. He debuts on the Italian imprint with a functional, unshowy set of tracks designed for movement rather than meditation, a deliberate step back from cosmic abstraction toward the body’s immediate, undeniable reality. This is music that acknowledges where we find ourselves: stranded in flesh, in a nation careening between hysteria and collapse, with only the pulse as compass.

Premiered here, the title track, “Liberate Your Body,” operates as the collection’s most direct statement. It builds from a foundation of steady, rolling percussion that locks into a groove and refuses to relinquish it. Synthetic textures accumulate gradually, never overwhelming the pulse, layered with warmth that feels almost physical – the friction of skin against air, blood pushing against walls. There is no great drama here, no bid for transcendence, just the reliable pleasure of a rhythm that knows its job and performs it without fuss. A solid, EBM-infused workmanlike cut for the hours when thinking is optional and motion is required. The body, after all, is the only territory that remains. In an empire rotting from within, perhaps learning to inhabit one’s own skin again is the smallest and most radical act.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
