Techno Bert’s “Neue Dimensionen” originally arrived in 1990 as a three‑cut 12″ on Doremix Records, distributed by Flying Records. The Italian duo behind the project, Roberto Passera and Stefano Cundari, draw from EBM, early techno, and new wave influences, assembling a raw, sample‑heavy document of late‑80s underground club culture. The EP never chased mainstream success; instead, it survived through word‑of‑mouth and dedicated spins. Re‑issued several times (2017, 2020, 2025), the record remains a sought‑after item for collectors of the Italian techno‑EBM crossover. Sweaty, defiantly DIY, and built from hardware and attitude, “Neue Dimensionen” stands as a blueprint for a certain strain of European club music.

Derek aka Pleasure Seeker refreshes “Intro” with a “Renaissance Edit” that keeps the original’s skeleton while adding his own muscle. The main elements remain – that atmospheric tension, the slow build – but the Italian producer dresses the whole affair in sharper clothes. The edit moves faster, the low end sits fatter, and the arrangement gains a new intensity without losing the original’s shadowy mood. Pleasure Seeker knows exactly which dials to turn and which parts to leave alone. A respectful yet forceful rework, designed to pull the floor deeper into the unknown. A proper update for a cult classic.
