901 // My Secret Playground – Bipolar

My Secret Playground debuts on Burning Synths with a one‑track statement.

Berlin’s My Secret Playground, the working alias of Florian Herzberg, steps onto Burning Synths for the first time. His discography already threads through Mélopée, Voltaire Music, JEAHMON!, Club Mackan, and Sincopat – a run of reliable choices. For this debut, Herzberg strips things back to a single piece: “Bipolar.” No remixes, no B‑side, just one track meant to claim ground. The man knows how to build a cinematic palette, pulling from the grimy futures of Blade Runner, the wasteland roar of Mad Max, and the synth‑heavy strangeness of Stranger Things. The result lands somewhere between past and present, but never feels like a museum piece.

“Bipolar” throws down frenzied percussive layers that snap and scatter like loose wires. Frolic synth leads leap across the arrangement – playful, sharp, impossible to ignore. Deep pads anchor the low end, adding a cold, breathing warmth underneath. Then come the hard‑rock‑ish guitar‑like synth layers, slicing through with a distorted bite that feels ripped from a late‑night desert chase. The track moves with a restless energy, swinging between tension and release without ever settling into comfort. Pure eighties flavour, scrubbed clean of dust. A confident, one‑shot statement from a producer who knows exactly how to mark his territory.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Beatport page of the label.
