911 // Dan ChiCharron & Pin – Crash Audio (Kubebe Remix)

No turntable was damaged in the production of this remix by Kubebe for Dan ChiCharron & Pin's debut on Kyma Komplex.

Kyma Komplex presents “Crash Audio,” an EP born from Dan ChiCharron’s raw, nocturnal touch and PIN’s textured, melodic vision. The two originals share a progressive, acid‑infused gait, while, on the remix side, Lille’s Kubebe – previously seen on DGTL, Duro, Side Up Works, and Kalypso, just to name a few – contributes a reinterpretation of the title track. Three artists, two originals, one remix. A tight package from the always reliable Mexican powerhouse.

Premiered here, Kubebe’s version strips the title track down to its skeleton. Where the original floated on a mesmerising haze, the French producer injects a raw, dirty atmosphere. Distorted elements jump into the frame – think Kraftwerk’s “Boing” without the “Boom Tschak”. The groove turns denser, more complex, scraping against itself. Kubebe keeps the acid pulse alive but roughens its edges, turning the track into a grittier, more confrontational piece. No polish, no cushion. Just a hard, unapologetic floor tool for those who like their electronics with a side of grime. A proper remix that respects the original’s bones while breaking a few of its own.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
