921 // Katakana – Flight Of The Condor

Another top‑notch compilation by Rewind It – this time featuring a masterpiece from Katakana!

Rewind It drops the second volume of its “A Kind Of Disco” mini‑compilation, gathering Radondo, Katakana, Mr. Funghi, and Agle for a fresh take on the genre. The concept remains simple: four artists, four angles, one shared love for disco’s past and present. Each track offers a distinct perspective, resulting in a collection that moves with a steady, floor‑ready momentum. The compilation never loses sight of disco’s heritage while feeling entirely of the moment. There’s a clear sense of dialogue between the tracks – each artist responds to the others in their own way, creating a cohesive whole. A proper follow‑up that builds on the first volume without repeating its tricks.

On board the VA, Katakana returned in 2024 after fifteen years away from the production realm. Focusing now on a lower BPM, his contribution to the compilation is a reflection of his experience and creativity. His “Flight Of The Condor” brings the Cosmic Disco gait to the ball. A bouncing bassline anchors the groove, while deep synth layers spread across the arrangement like a wide, open sky. Space‑infused FXs drift in and out, adding texture and depth without crowding the frame. The track moves with a steady, confident stride – a proper chip-in from a producer who knows exactly where he’s headed.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
