An ocean may separate Spanish producer Calystarr and Mexican artist Chinosynth, but their respective sonorities and discographies bring them together in a way that a collaboration between the two Indie Dance virtuosos seemed inevitable. While the former is a regular on the respected Oviedo-based Espacio Cielo, the latter makes a better-late-than-never debut on the imprint with this release. The “Sintar” EP comes with two muscular originals and two irrefutable remixes, made with love by none other than Chinaski and Silicodisco – and they clearly understood the assignment.

Named after a fictional world in the Beidan System – a planet that serves as a headquarters for the Initia Confederation and home to a futuristic Space Lounge – “Sintar” is filled with a proper retro but far, far away from a dusty aura, moving confidently with a clean, contemporary stride. The throbbing bassline, supported by the frenzied acid layer, sends the message: It’s peak-time-only material, babe! A sharp, tense synth work runs through the track like a live wire, adding a nervy edge that elevates the theme beyond its groove-heavy foundation. Caly & Chino have delivered a statement that feels both fresh and grounded – a reminder that distance means nothing when the music speaks the same language.
