Spain-based DJ and producer The Liquid Dude describes himself as a bored guy who gets randomly involved in wild parties. That sense of playful unpredictability runs straight through his brand-new EP, Artificial Ignorance, released on his own Liquid Freaks imprint. The six-track package – one of them a collaboration with Stansee – pulls together Electro, Acid, House, Breaks, Disco, and Funk, all tied together with a cinematic edge that gives the record a larger‑than‑life feel. Nothing here sounds designed by committee – it’s too loose, too colourful, too human. In times of AI, the EP title feels like a knowing wink: a suggestion that ignorance might not be a flaw, but a creative choice.
Premiered here, “Very Very Big” delivers exactly what you’d expect if you’ve crossed paths with The Liquid Dude before. Analogue textures buzz and hum, the disco‑infused groove carries a funky gait, and pinches of acid keep the whole thing from sitting still. It’s playful, freaky, and unpredictable — a cut that refuses to follow a straight line. The track leaps and stutters, never quite landing where you think it will, but always holding the floor’s attention. It’s not trying to be clever. It just wants to move you. And we like it very, very much.
