The French powerhouse Critical Monday, competently curated by our dear friend Bonnie Spacey (SXDNS337), reaches the “Chapter 15” of its solid journey, and this time it’s a hot and passionate one. Doing the honours, Paris-based rising and shining star I Promised Mom (SXDNS323). The Dark Disco mafioso, since his first appearance in 2021, has been delivering high-quality darkness-infused cuts published on respected imprints such as JEAHMON!, Voltaire Music, Inner Shah, and Ritual, for instance. For Critical, he handed over two sharp originals – “Radiate”, in collaboration with Thomas Gandey, and “She’s Intoxicating” – and invited Argentinian Favio Inker for a remix mission, successfully accomplished, by the way.

The track we chose to premiere is a peak-time beast by design. Smooth arpeggiated leads prepare the terrain for what is about to come: A wild and ferocious rock-infused synth layer devoted to wreaking havoc on the dance floor. If the title celebrates an inspiring muse we will never know, but the track itself is, oh yes, intoxicating!
