Kyma Komplex has been burning the midnight oil and having quite a busy year so far. With a steady string of well-received EPs and VAs featuring both established artists and promising newbies from the House, Techno, Trance, Indie Dance, and Dark Disco spectra, the rising & shining Mexican label delivers its eleventh parcel in 2024. For the occasion, they opened the doors for skilled producer Leonidas Ghione.

Hailing also from Mexico, Leo has previously appeared on QuieroRecordings, Folclore, TropicalBass, and Shango Records – on the latter, with a splendid ten-track vinyl release. For his debut on Kyma, his two solid originals were competently remixed by the talented Brazilian duo Classic Dellas and Uruguayan virtuoso Panko (FREEDL051).

Premiered here, Panko’s take on “Alma” brings the theme to the House Music realm embedded with misbehaved Latin percussive elements. The sort of Balearic gait of the original is still there but now with a certain spicy and frolic attitude.
