According to an urban legend, a red room is a place where people are tortured and murdered for an audience of viewers via the Dark Web, the viewers sometimes voting or bidding on the form of torture to be performed. It was depicted in the acclaimed 2023 movie “Luther: The Fallen Sun”, starring poser DJ Idris Elba and the one & only Andy Serkis.

In Spanish, “Quarto Rojo” is the result of the beautiful collaboration among Roswell Brothers (SXDNS401), L.U.W., and Sabina Odone and probably means something less dark and bloody. Originally released last May on J Records, the single is now back featuring some super-duper remixes made with love by Borgetti, Favio Inker, Sex Kino, and TAPIIA. Premiered here, the latter’s version.

For his take on “QR”, TAPIIA managed to keep the punchy gait of the original, despite replacing the sturdy Rock-embedded aura, by applying an interesting Industrial-meets-Acid concoction. The result is a powerful interpretation devoted to wreaking havoc on the dance floor.

FYI: No artist was tortured or hurt in the making of this release.
