Despite being around since 2022, Olde Tapes seems not to be in a hurry to build up its catalogue. Quality, not quantity, has been its motto. After featuring JAAW and Globemaster (SXDNS153) for its previous parcels, the interesting Mexican label now welcomes Wolffer to its under-construction initial roster.

The promising Mexico City-based producer, in turn, has also been taking things slow. Since his opener in 2020, his output has been dropping at a moderate and measured pace featuring a few appearances on his Bandcamp plus well-received releases on Conexa Records and Discos Tabu. Ultimately, it’s a marathon, not a sprint, right?

For his debut on “Oldie”, Wolffer came up with “I Like Sleeping With You”, a dreamy and psychedelic cut filled with percussive elements and bleepy FXs. Deep pad incursions and rhythmic synth leads set the tone and deliver a delicious Balearic gait.
