894 // O.P.S. – Galattica

Skilled O.P.S. brings his ever‑evolving palette to the rising & shining outlet Analog Disorder.

Monza’s O.P.S. lands on the promising Italian imprint Analog Disorder with “Velocity,” a four‑track EP that plants one foot in Rock’s energy and the other in Electronic precision. The production leans hard into modern textures – aggressive, sharp, built for forward motion – while letting synth lines carry a certain vintage glow. Anime’s sense of scale and high‑stakes chase scenes seem to hover somewhere in the background. The result is a set that could score a race still waiting to be written. The label proves once again it has an ear for the dramatic.

Premiered here, “Galattica” stretches the EP’s ambition toward the stars. Space‑age synths swell and recede like distant nebulae, creating a sense of vast, silent drift. Layer by layer, shimmering textures accumulate – each one suggesting interstellar travel rather than a simple launch. The rhythm section stays grounded, a steady pulse that keeps the journey from floating away entirely. O.P.S. balances the cosmic with the kinetic, turning “Galattica” into a cruise through imagined galaxies, where every synth pad feels like a new horizon. A track for the head as much as the hips, and all the better for it.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
