Based in Montreal, Canada, French DJ and producer Anatohl kicks off the 2022 season of the German label Dance Petrol Records with his new EP “Low Profile”. The young Canadian artist has been building throughout the years a musical universe that is both energetic and ethereal, delivering a sparkling Deep House sonority influenced by the 90s, oscillating between powerful grooves and vaporous layers. Showcasing proper production skills on his debut on DPR, he distils his many influences into three masterfully crafted House cuts fuelled with organic drums, cheeky vocal chops, and rough acid lines.

The track we chose to premiere, “Illegal Fruits”, brings Anatohl flirting with Afro percussive elements and combining them with melodic piano riffs and a groovy bassline plus the aforementioned organic drums, cheeky vocal chops, and rough acid lines, resulting in an atmospheric and passionate House Music piece.
