After debuting on the well-received Controlla’s compilation “TecMex X Siempre” last year, Emiliano Apocada aka NOKID brings to light his very first EP: “Ahí Viene”, with its two originals, introduces the capabilities and inventiveness of the young Sinaloa-based producer to the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene.
With complexity as his motto, NOKID’s lysergic fusion of IDM, Acid, and 90s Rave delivers not-so-easy-to-digest cuts. Intricate distortions and noisy elements take over the stage to present something rather different from what we have heard from the modern “hecho en Mexico” electronic music in the last years.
