Born with an innate musical ear, Phil Rose aka Jaegerossa has put that to good use over the past 20 years. Label A&R, producer, DJ, promoter and music obsessive, he’s become a beacon of Funk, Disco and House in the North of England and beyond.
The driving force behind Edit, Manchester’s epic disco-loving monthly party, he’s an in-demand DJ: in 2017 alone, he’s been billed alongside Francois K, Rakyo, John Morales and Joey Negro, while he’s resident at stellar venues across the north including 53 Degrees North in Leeds and Halifax and Venus in Manchester. At home DJing Funk, Soul, Disco and House, Phil is also the resident UK tour DJ for legendary Ibiza brand We Love and has played at the Southport Weekender, for Dance Anthems, Kiss Da Funk, Circo Loco and more.
Raised on an eclectic diet of Beethoven, Bowie and Motown, he’s put that musical education to good use, heading up A&R for Midnight Riot, one of the 10 most influential disco labels of all time according to Mixmag. Working alongside close friend and label boss YamWho?, they recently launched House-leaning sister label Black Riot with several releases charting in the Traxsource Top 10, including debut single ‘Rendition’ by Ibiza DJ Buckley.
A producer, and formerly part of duo Jaegerossa, his debut single ‘Move Your Body’ on Favouritzm was premiered by Pete Tong, and he’s also worked alongside industry staples like Timmy Vegas, and The Groove Junkies, winning song of the year at the LA House Music Awards in the process. Co-production credits followed for the Juno chart-topping Hotmix 5 album on Midnight Riot, and remix work for legendary American producer Eric Kupper.
More recently, he’s just been confirmed as support DJ for the new Classical Uproar concert at Manchester’s Monastery, Suddi Raval’s take on the symphonic House Music trend.
Now Phil is collaborating with Glitterbox resident and Midnight Riot boss YamWho? with future releases on the Riot imprint and Joey Negro’s Z Records.
Incredibly passionate and with a natural ear for what works on the dancefloor and turntable, Phil Rose continues to be one of the most well-respected DJs, producers and promoters in the Disco and House scene.
Follow Jaegerossa, peeps!
