Franksen goes way back in the history of Frankfurt’s electronic scene. Having hosted and deejayed at Germany’s eldest weekly radio DJ Show, YOU FM Clubnight (formerly simply known as CLUBNIGHT) for its longest time. Sharing decks with each and everyone from Jamie Jones to Loco Dice or from Mousse T. to Dixon, he represented House Music and electronic club culture 360° for + 15 years.

As a DJ, producer, radio- and print music-journalist (for BEAT magazine) he boasts versatile skills. As he would say about his multiple musical personae: it all follows one unique approach – of searching the endless groove (accompanying and representing life). Since 2009 Franksen released on Berlin’s beloved Bar25 Music, Frankfurt‘s Deep House vinyl mainstay Houseworxx, Smile For A While, Poets Club Records and many more.

Electronic music’s culture in between Deep House, Dub, Downtempo, Electronica and Breaks of various tempi is on his sound traveller menu – everything goes, really!

For our SXDNS podcast, he presents his take on pure and true House Music. Franksen merges a somewhat poetically sensitive and joyful array of classically organic Deep House gems with rootsy Chicago House, Jazzy vibes and overall gripping Funky rhythms. The old with the new, the timeless!
