021 // Ulises Arrieta & Javier Martinez – Fake Robots (Man2.0 Counterfeit Machinery Remix)

Ulises Arrieta and Javier Martinez debut on Nein Records. The lads got a serious remix by MAN2.0, which means things got acid as hell!

Fake Robots is the result of the partnership between the young Mexican talents Ulises Arrieta and Javier Martinez. While the former makes his first appearance on our platform, the latter has already showed up on our mixtape series (SXDNS104). The EP – to be released on the almighty Nein Records – is composed of three second-to-none original tracks and four dazzling remixes provided by a solid team of artists: Mijo & Zomvic, MAN2.0, Hanzo & Yaman and Die Jungle. Trust us: It was hard to choose one, but after a lot of deliberation, we managed to pick up our winner.

The tune we decided to premiere is a track with a more focused line towards techno. Spicy and acid elements accompanied with robotic vocals and darkish synthesizers establish the tone. About his version, Mark Bailey told us “it was a fun remix to work on because the original has a really optimistic vibe, which I tried to keep and carry through in my little take on it”.

Two up-and-coming talents remixed by an acclaimed producer and released on a vital label: This combo is the real McCoy, peeps!

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
