Slowly, the bright Mexican label Veneno has been carving its name into the Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene with solid releases featuring both promising and established artists. The new EP – Venom – brings three beautiful originals by CHINOSYNTH and three golden remixes by Diaz Tech (SXDNS089), Weird Like Us (SXDNS055) and Mad Slow.

About the version of “Solana” we choose to premiere, we had a small talk with Gael Juárez and Armando Ramírez aka Horreur, the masterminds behind the duo Weird Like Us: “In this remix we decided to preserve the essence of the original track, keeping the fabulous synthesizers that CHINOSYNTH created to give life to this track. To finish our interpretation, we agreed to add our disco essence that characterizes our sonority without neglecting the dark touch that we both like, this is how we gave life to this remix, having also in mind its suitability for the dance floor. The atmosphere of the original is incredible, it transported us to fantastic places, and kudos to the bassline that incites us not to stop dancing while tripping.”
