In our last premiere of 2019, we reviewed one of the tracks from Pvlomo’s (SXDNS098) “Kalyko EP”. Officially released on the almighty Mexican label Controlla a fortnight ago, “Club Svtan 69” is a 139-BPM beast, a one of a kind Acid Merengue tune. Well, we have the privilege of premiering another Controlla release, this time from “Kalyko Remixes”, an astounding EP that amasses august versions from a dream team of collaborators: Stockholm Syndrome (SXDNS165), Fausto (SXDNS064), Tiempo de Maldad (FREEDL008), Alvee, Ali X (SXDNS070), Bad Wolf, Samuel Lupian (SXDNS087), Alpha+, Diaz Tech (SXDNS089/FREEDL013), Tkuz and Tronik Youth (SXDNS050).
It was hard to choose only one, but we finally did it after some deliberation. For the remix of “RICV” – a super track Pvlomo made in collaboration with Galo Santo & Tkuz –, master Ali X decided to step on the gas! The original is a groovy and upbeat 117-BPM beauty, the remix is a funky and acid 134-BPM feral creature, ready to devour every piece of flesh who dares to face it on the dance floor. Another track that reminds us how good it can be to dance at such speed!
Special credits to AXM Audio for the mastering.
You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
