“Disident Remixes EP” is UK/AL Olimpiada’s fifth release, featuring three beautiful and insightful versions (provided by The Long Champs, Inaktiv and Heidenreich) of a 2015 track by the alternative Prishtina, Albania, based band Asgjë Sikur Dielli.

The remix we were given to premiere brings our dear friend and collaborator Timo Gans aka Heidenreich (SXDNS142/FREEDL003) at his best! The young and promising producer/DJ from Berlin takes the track into a four-season time-lapse journey. Using his own words, his inspiration came by pitching the original bassline one step down, expanding with detuned melody chords and destroying – and reconstructing – the original guitar samples. His (Nu)Disco-ish interpretation is undeniably intended to trigger some furore to the dance floor. The playful woodpecker-like percussive riff added by Timo makes the job of recognizing the track an easy task – no Shazam needed here, folks!
