Italian artist Visionnaire’s first release on our dear German label Emerald & Doreen Recordings celebrates his musical influences from Italian Wave and Dark Disco, taking a highly energetic club approach. The impressive pack of remixes provided by some of our favourite artists – Stockholm Syndrome (SXDNS165), Sunmantra, MAN2.0 (SXDNS081) and JackWasFaster – perfectly balances the power and melancholy of the originals while adding their own touches and interpretations.

“Shara” opens the EP with an impressive drive, space and robotic sounds, a track devoted to bringing trance and reverie to the dance floor. Despite its beauty and allure, we decided to premiere JackWasFaster’s version due to the boldness of his approach. First things first: He decided to slow down the original… considerably: From 117 to 106 BPM, to be more precise, which means some elements beamed up from the original to the remix were highlighted and thus can be better noticed, like the robotic layer. The guitar riffs and metallic FXs added by big Jack provide an obscure aura to his work. Killer remix here, peeps! “JackWasSlower”, and we loved it!
