“Anticapitalista” is the first release from one of Sweden’s true underground house and techno pioneers Mårten Attling AKA Mindbender and Gothenburg’s own psychedelic disco overlord Janne Berglund aka Högt I Tak on their own brand-new label When Disco Goes Wrong

Mårten started producing in the late eighties and quickly became a prolific figure in the Swedish club scene. He was DJing all over and putting down the hours in the studio to learn the craft. He has a unique ear for combining the dance floor vibe with the deepest melodious psychedelic ingredients in a mix. Janne has been around the scene since the early rave days and he likes to describe his music as trailer techno with a pinch of psychedelic disco and acid masala.

Their newest release, “Anticapitalista”, is a stellar cosmic dub disco affair that comes in 3 versions. The chosen one for our premiere, the original, starts with an uncompromising thick version of the bass line and then takes off straight into a more mellow vibe with a soothing voice over some hypnotic dub chords. The “protest” samples were recorded by Janne during the left-wing party demonstration on Worker’s Day in Sweden last year.
