Imagine a compilation featuring tracks by Two Mamarrachos, Azaria (SXDNS076), Daniel Monaco (SXDNS137) & Futuristant, Lebollet (RASTROLIVE004), Colossio (SXDNS025), Alvaro Cabana (RASTROLIVE003) & Silicodisco, Alvee & Javier Martínez (SXDNS104), Telesketch, JackWasFaster, Zakmina and other great artists… it would be a dream, wouldn’t it? Giant Madrid-based label Rotten City made this dream come true. Their next release amassed 17 beautiful themes by a consequential team of producers that spared no efforts to deliver one of the best releases of the year so far.

The title we were given to premiere, “Novel”, brings Zakmina at his best. The acclaimed Lithuanian artist proves one more time why he is one of the most respected producers of his generation amid the Dark Disco/Indie Dance scene. For his contribution to “Rotten Citizens Vol.4”, Zak dressed up some retro outfit and aligned energetic arpeggiated synth layers resulting in one of the lustiest tunes of the compilation. Label boss Alvaro Cabana must have been incredibly happy with the result. And he is not the only one.
