165 // Stockholm Syndrome Au – Vector Transfer

Today's premiere brings Stockholm Syndrome's forthcoming release on Mexican label Veneno.

We cannot get enough of the idea that music actually brings people together, and this release is a perfect example of this beautiful old saying: Melbourne-based Stockholm Syndrome Au lands on prolific Mexican label Veneno with a 7-track EP divided into two sharp originals and five stunning remixes from the inflamed minds of British big cheese Tronik Youth (SXDNS050), Australian farcical trio Funboys (SXDNS227), and Mexican young talents Horreur (SXDNS055 as Weird Like Us) and Umvral (FREEDL018). The latter contributed with two remixes; after all, the label owner needs to work a little harder than his guest artists, doesn’t he?

“Vector Transfer”, the track we chose to premiere, has everything we like to dance to: A pulsating bassline, a groovy acid lead, a mysterious vocal hook, rhythmic percussive elements… The cosmic atmosphere provided by playful FXs cannot go unmentioned. A solid piece of work that will positively introduce the new moment of Stockholm Syndrome’s career to the fans of Veneno – they gonna love it!

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Beatport page of the label.
