This premiere is for the House Music heads out there: Italian DJ and producer Nnatn makes his debut on Night Vibez Records, an (also) Italian label devoted to all shades of the beloved good ol’ genre. From Soulful and Deep to Breakbeat and Acid, you can find some proper anthems in their growing catalogue.

Nnatn, in turn, was born in Italy in the early nineties and grew up nourished with big fat portions of classic House, Disco, and Afro. He started to produce in 2015 and has remained hard to pin down stylistically. His “Grooves – Pt. 1” is a five-track EP (all originals – competently crafted, by the way) in which you can easily notice the use of the aforementioned influences of his childhood.

Reviewed here, the Kerri Chandler-esque “Groovin Magic”, a bumping and sparkling theme with a beefy bassline, a colourful piano layer, an emotive synth pad, and an upbeat message: It’s as if the tune is trying to say, even without lyrics, “Hey, champ, tough times, but chin up, will you?”. A small dose of good vibes might be all we probably need today, isn’t it?
