Everybody’s darling Vienna/Istanbul-based label Belly Dance Services, founded by Hanzo & Yaman (SXDNS065), wraps up the 2021 summer with its third VA release: “Various Worldwide III” brings together five young and skilled artists from across the globe, each contributing with their own particular style while keeping the true essence of the imprint characteristic sonority. Lott (SXDNS257), Ducati Flux, Heidenreich (SXDNS142/FREEDL003), Perdu, and Ulises Arrieta (SXDNS193) delivered proper Indie Dance/Dark Disco pieces for our delight.

Premiered here, “Nahual”, the second track of the compilation, was made with love by Ducati Flux, co-founder of the newcomer label Odd Pleasures and half of Random Atlas (SXDNS155). Mainly defined as “a sorcerer believed by various Middle American Indians to be capable of transforming himself into animal form”, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “Nahual” is one of the most intense themes of the release. The virtuoso Chilean artist gifted us with a catchy dark tune that is full of playfulness and showcases the highly creative side of the producer.
