Created by Poulper (SXDNS146) & Aurum Miles, two of the most active artists amid the so-called Dark Disco/Indie Dance scene, the Argentinian/Lithuanian label Quixotical Records brings to life the “Pilots Lounge” EP by U.S.-based producer Nickelson, another hidden talent scouted by the lads’ proper curation skills. Featuring two clever originals and two remixes made with love by none other than Ed Mahon (SXDNS068/TBT001) and Berny, the EP keeps raising the bar of the busy year the imprint has been having so far.

The track we selected to review/premiere brings the seasoned “In Dark We Trust” series’ boss, Berny, boldly ripping off the dark and industrial aura of the 103-BPM original and delivering a cosmic-infused and upbeat 120-BPM “Mellowtron Mix”, whose positivity contrasts with the acid and misty atmosphere of the previous tracks and closes the EP with a lively and joyful message.
