Following their well-received 2021 “Mood 4 Love” EP on Fresh Take Records, Glasgow house duo Macka & Lowree are back on the Edinburgh-based imprint with their highly anticipated debut album “Without The Music (I Don’t Know Where I’d Be Dancin’)”. The two have been steadily growing a name for themselves especially by capturing a distinctly old-school vibe in their productions, pushing their signature sonority with intricate sampling and euphoric themes. Their exciting forthcoming release is a glorious ode to the House & Disco influences that inspire the duo. Created with love and painstaking attention to detail, it is a richly rewarding and inspiring combo of twelve atmospheric Balearic beauties and frenzied dance-floor-oriented cuts.

The track we selected to premiere, besides showcasing Macka & Lowree’s competence and creativity, is definitely one of the highlights of the album. “UNO” is a breakbeat House Music torpedo with a smooth piano-like synth layer and a gangsta-meets-early-rave aura built with the sole goal of becoming a peak-time weapon.
