After a hiatus of more than three years, Italian stallion Attendances (SXDNS223) is finally back on NEIN Records. While away from the British powerhouse, his work appeared on other vital labels of the independent underground music scene like, for instance, ESTHÉTIQUE, TONN, and Emerald & Doreen Recordings. The skilled producer masters the craft of seamlessly combining his many influences into something refreshing and new. Whenever you bump into one of his releases, expect shards and references of Progressive House, Trance, New Wave, EBM, Industrial, Leftfield, and Techno. On his forthcoming album, “Cibernetica”, he brought to life eight original dance-floor-oriented cuts that deliver a true journey throughout his creative mind.

The track we chose to premiere/review, “Darkfire”, in the course of its almost ten-minute quest, prompts a mesmerizing atmosphere with its acid attitude and otherworldly pads. Then the clanging & resonant metal-like line and the smooth & velvety synth layers take over the stage and complete the purpose of the theme: Awe!
