624 // PBR Streetgang – Space Cake

PBR Streetgang is finally back on Sprechen! All aboard their Trans Pennine Express!

Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe are the masterminds behind the PBR Streetgang. Together, the lads have already had their works issued in some of the most important House-meets-Disco labels out there such as Salsoul, West End, Futureboogie, Lumberjacks In Hell, Wolf Music, KURTZ, Domino, Discolypso, and Sprechen, to name a few. They are finally back to the latter with the second episode of their “Trans Pennine Express” endeavour. Named after a British train operating company that runs regional and inter-city rail services between the major cities and towns of Northern England and Scotland, the EP, like its predecessor, presents the duo flirting with their most cosmic influences, resulting in true zero-gravity-embedded cuts. On the remix duties, Gina Breeze and Massey, the label boss himself.

For their “Space Cake” recipe, instead of hash, milk, sugar, flour, eggs, and baking powder, Chiefs Bradberry and Thorpe used different but equally psychedelic ingredients: a throbbing bassline, rhythmic percussive elements, trippy synth layers, and a spot-on acid gait culminated in one of the most valuable cuts of the release.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Beatport page of the label.
