Operating in the dreamy and misty realm located between vibrant Berlin and gargantuan São Paulo, Suçuarana Records is an eclectic label born in 2021 with an interesting recruiting policy that welcomes dissidents, disruptors, and instigators willing to contribute to its still small but growing catalogue.

For its forthcoming outing, the imprint opens its doors for the very first release of Die Grillen, a performative Electroclash act from Berlin whose sonority focuses on “seamlessly fusing electronic elements with captivating performances.”

“Die Grillen Hier” is a proper showcase of the existing synergy between Danae & Gats – and their beautiful dog (which suspiciously seems to be the real mastermind behind the duo’s juice) – and delivers its message through a delicious fusion of New Wave, Synthpop, and early Electro. The provocative theme, with its groovy snares, angular synth riffs, acid gait, and crispy vocals, takes us back to a simpler time in which we could enjoy DJ Hell, Miss Kittin, The Hacker, and Fischerspooner without worrying about all the dystopian madness we have been living in.
