706 // J. Mono – ebr

Savour the moment with another splendid selection of gems by J. Mono coming soon on Dalmata Daniel.

When was the last time you listened to an entire album, focusing on nothing else besides the music itself? Tough one, right? So many distractions nowadays.

Try to do it with this one: J. Mono is back on Dalmata Daniel with “Redate IV”, the latest (and probably not the last) episode of his series of archival gems. If you are already familiar with his work, then you know synth experimentation is his expertise. This time, the parcel, soon available on digital and cassette formats, presents twelve creative themes cooked between 2014 and 2015, “showcasing his playful, melodic style across Electro, Acid, and IDM landscapes”, according to the official PR text. It also states that the release “captures both the crafted intensity of J. Mono’s studio work and the raw energy of his live performances”.

Premiered here, “ebr” is definitely one of the highlights of the bundle. The upbeat Electro aura, triggered by the energising 127-BPM breakbeat base, enchants from the start and sets the scene for beautiful synth leads and dreamy pads to take over the stage. The bouncing bassline with its funky gait pairs perfectly with the spot-on acid strokes and brings even more richness to the experience.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
