The rising & shining Andalucía-based label Burning Synths has been having a busy end of the year so far. Since November, Jakob Mäder (SXDNS418) & Frederik Neu, Irregular Disco Workers, and Roglar & Neburo landed on its growing catalogue that will soon have the addition of master Adrián Peña Sánchez aka Calystarr. And he will not come alone: Astore and TDWS are back on the Spanish outlet this time as remixers with solid interpretations of “Connections”, Caly’s brand-new outie.

Talking about being busy, Adrián’s 2024 was (has been?) quite prolific with well-received appearances on NEIN, Emerald & Doreen, Club Mackan, Astrolead, Golden Soul, and Melomana, having established himself as one of the most interesting acts amid the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene.

For his debut on Burning Synths, Calystarr followed his very own formula (bringing together retro-infused references embedded in modern settings) and came up with a proper dance floor pleaser. “Connections” delivers playfulness with psychedelia by combining frolicsome percussive elements with deeply atmospheric pads. Kudos!
