Nantes-based polymath Vaälha – DJ, producer, and event curator – channels his love for 70s/80s celluloid grit and genre-blurring soundscapes into his latest parcel. A sonic alchemist, he stitches Italo Disco’s neon romance, EBM’s industrial edge, and Techno’s relentless pulse into two originals that pay homage to electronic music’s golden eras. Following appearances on Emerald & Doreen and Club Mackan, Vaälha teams with rising Spanish imprint Burning Synths for a release that balances nostalgia with futurism. Featuring a blue-chip remix by Kay-Chi, the EP delivers club-weapon material, designed for shadowy warehouses and ecstatic crowds, proving his knack for merging cinematic drama with dance-floor functionality.
Premiered here, the title track is a peak-time beast, melding Trance’s euphoric crescendos with Techno’s driving force. Soaring arpeggiated leads and a pulsating bassline collide under Vaälha’s meticulous production, creating a vortex of escalating energy. The track’s breakdown – a celestial wash of synths – evokes Vangelis-meets-Underworld grandeur before erupting into a frenetic finale. Playful yet punishing, the track mirrors Vaälha’s signature duality: retro-futurist aesthetics meet unrelenting modern intensity, cementing him as a curator of both mood and motion.
