After a prolific and successful year, the rising Vilnius/Buenos Aires-based label Quixotical Records closes its 2022 season with “Transfix”, a powerful release by Evgeniy Tanaisov aka Etane. The seven-track EP delivers three eclectic originals and four spot-on remixes made with love by Parissior (SXDNS206/FREEDL043/ BANDCAMP002), Ulises Arrieta (SXDNS193), Neowise, and Aurum Miles, the Lithuanian boss of the imprint. The Argentinian one, Poulper (SXDNS146/FREEDL028), must be busy with the World Cup (Allez les bleus!). 😜

With well-received appearances on Critical Monday, Ombra INTL, Logical, Samo, and Oberwave, to name a few, the young Russia-born, Germany-based producer establish himself as a “talent to watch” amid the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene.

Premiered here, Espacio Cielo’s big cheese’s interpretation of “The Cowbell Is For The Teacher” brings the EP to a perfect end. Skilled as hell, master Parissior turned the already dark-as-hell original into an even darker cut, especially due to the addition of a menacing and phantasmagorical synth layer whose chills you will get must be sweat off on the dance floor.
