The second release of ESTHÉTIQUE’s sublabel, M O I L, an imprint focused on EBM, Industrial and Dark Techno, features four intense original tracks by John Patter, a respected Lithuanian DJ and producer whose broad spectre of influences – from Hip Hop and Funk to Minimal and Techno – drove him smoothly down the road of obscure sounds. His previous releases on Ninefont and Shara Music are proof that the new phase on the career of the seasoned but still young artist is already making some noise.

“Trois Larmes” is an EP that showcases John Patter’s work in a way that indicates how versatile he is, inasmuch as all the tracks vary not only in BPM but also in genres. The tune we chose to premiere, “Sorrel In The Garden”, for instance, is a slomo acid & dark Techno cut, with intense and dusky synth layers topped with ethereal and ghostly vocals. Spooky? Yes, but definitely the kind of track that will make you get curious about Mr. Patter’s future endeavours.
