099 // O.S.T. – U And I (Are Living)

O.S.T. provided a true beauty for this great compilation by Freeride Millenium. All profits from the sales will go directly to Queer Base - Welcome & Support for LGBTIQ Refugees. 🏳️‍🌈

Freeride Millenium Presents Queer Base is a proud new charity project and the first-ever compilation from the acclaimed and well-regarded German label. Talented artists such as Massimiliano Pagliara, Zombies in Miami, Younger Than Me (SXDNS090), Soulphiction, Hard Ton (SXDNS176), Rotciv (SXDNS069), Modular Project (SXDNS136), Benjamin Fröhlich and many more serve up a scintillating selection of house, synth, techno, disco and downbeat, and all profits from this release will be directed to Queer Base, a Vienna-based organisation that offers social and legal counselling to LGBTQI+ refugees who arrive in Austria, including providing help with court cases, finding housing, community events, organizing German lessons, HIV/STI testing, and more. Further details can be found on their website.

O.S.T.’s collaboration to the project paints musical pictures of lazy hot days in the park with the pastoral beauty of “U and I (Are Living)”, a beautiful ambient masterpiece that brings to the compilation a moment of reflection. A moment to think about every brother and sister who has to struggle to be accepted in this crazy little planet that stubbornly refuses to evolve once and for all when it comes to LGBTQI+ rights.

This compilation excels on a musical front but also by highlighting and supporting the vital work undertaken by Queer Base. The album comes with beautiful and bespoke artwork by Daniel Rajcsanyi and all mastering was carried out by Klas-Henrik Lindblad at Blackheadstudios.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
