We have two debuts on our platform today, peeps: The Swedish DJ and producer Robert Folkesson aka The Machine Soul and the Berlin-based label EKORD. Brought to us by an SXDNS-veteran, Högt I Tak (SXDNS179), who contributed to the release with one of the remixes (the second one made with love by Mindbender), “Decker” combines an electronic, yet very organic sonority, yarning for something deeper – that longing for a feeling that should last forever, but bound to echo out as the last lights goes off. It is also a layered story, where the initial sparseness opens to a rich harmonic soundscape as the track progress.

Janne Berglund aka Högt I Tak, Gothenburg’s own psychedelic overlord, takes a totally different approach through his “AcidIsFun” version. In his own interpretation of the story, “Deker” is now clad with an energetic acid electro attire. Sheer elegance and brilliance! This beast is literally dressed to kill, and imagining it being played out loud at a packed dance floor brings us a mixture of joy and sadness due to the hard times we have been living on. If only we could.
