Celebrating its first anniversary, cool British label Midnight People – curated by The Real Escobar (SXDNS212) – is set to release a killer eight-track VA compilation with all the profits going in aid of CALM charity.

Italo, EBM, and Indie Dance, delivered by existing and forthcoming members of the label’s roster, including two fresh remixes of MP anthems: Remi Wanless’ “Red Mantis” and PADDY’s “She Doesn’t Know”, made with love by Alex Aguayo (FREEDL038) and Emmet Read, respectively. Solid originals by Magari, Remi Wanless (yeah, again), Vitling, Parallel, Vanity Project, and Neowise complete the release.

Premiered here, Emmet Read’s remix of “She Doesn’t Know” is a more cosmic but slower interpretation in comparison to the original theme. The decrease in speed (from 125 to 120) did not reduce the huge amount of Italo Disco influences that PADDY generously administered in his December 2020 release. Fortunately!
