When it comes to acidic slo-mo chugging Nu Disco, East London-based DJ and producer Alex Wastnidge aka From Beyond is one of the most talented names out there. The high quality of his originals and remixes is proof that Alex is the guy you are after for a proper Cosmic Disco-infused Indie Dance experience. With previous works released on vital labels such as Golden Soul, NEIN, Paper Disco, and Boite Music, Mr FB now makes his debut on the interesting British platform Paisley Dark Records with “Simulated Emotions”, a five-track EP featuring three must-have originals and two stately remixes made with love by Bedford Falls Players and the label boss himself, John Paynter aka A Space Age Freak Out (SXDNS123).

Premiered here, the stunning contribution by Bedford Falls Players, a UK-based collective of DJs heavily influenced and inspired by the early Acid House and Balearic experience. In their “Emotive Remix” of the title track, such influences can be noticed: The trippy but energetic atmosphere of their 110-BPM version is delivered by the fusion of arpeggiated acid synth layers and groovy percussive elements topped with dirty blasts of Saturnian (or Martian, perhaps) FXs. Definitely one of the highlights of the EP.
