Rising (and shining) Vilnius-based label Electric Shapes kicks off the new year with the 3rd volume of its respected “Unreleased Territory” series. The compilation, as always, features some house favourites, such as Jokios Kultūros, Tassilo Vanhöfen, Kolomensky, Adventure Society, Rambal Cochet, and Tadan, plus new additions to its already vast and eclectic roster: Martin Kuška, Vague Imaginaires, Valma, Krokakai, Mars Man Mutant, ID_UA (SXDNS229), ALF CHAMPION & MDHNTR, Haunted Strasse, and ROTCIV (SXDNS069), to name a few, who brought their personal sonorities to the fatty hotchpotch of textures the VA delivers.

The track we chose to premiere, “Function Of Motion”, is the fruit of the creativity and craftiness of Gedas Mekšriūnas aka Adventure Society. The skilled Lithuanian producer, who is also 50% of the duo FAR EAST FLIGHT along with his fellow countryman Jokios Kultūros, evoked his breakbeat influences and properly combined them with a juicy bassline, melodic synth layers, frenetic arpeggio coats, and groovy percussive elements with the sole goal of triggering chaos – on the dance floor – with his beefy contribution to the release.
