Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, the interesting label LoveDogs – curated by the respected and acclaimed local duo TouchTalk – has been drawing a good amount of attention amid the Nu Disco/Indie Dance scene, especially because of its latest releases in 2021, when the sonority of the label became more, yes, Nu Disco/Indie Dance-oriented. Mau Maioli (SXDNS246), Gueva (SXDNS292), Hoochie Coochie Papa, André Rech, AUTOFLOWER, anaritzz and the label bosses themselves are some of the artists recently featured on the rising imprint.

For the first instalment of the year, Mau Maioli, who makes his debut on LoveDogs, does the honours with “Backdoor”, an engaging EP made up of two well-constructed originals and two compelling remixes made with love by TouchTalk and AUTOFLOWER. Premiered here, the latter’s interpretation of the title track.

Bringing his characteristic uplifting but dark sonority to the game, skilled Dutch producer AUTOFLOWER combined the main elements from Maioli’s theme with some Trance and Acid layers plus more speed and stamina, resulting in a more energetic and punchier version.
