We have already premiered themes fruit of the collaboration between flatmates, friends, couples… but this is the first time we have the opportunity of reviewing the work fashioned by father and son: Cmix & Creeg teamed up once again to bring to life “High Impact”, their debut release on the rising Brazilian label Print ID. On the remix duty, the also Brazilian and also rising artist MeMachine, who delivered a spot-on version of the title track.
While Creeg, the heir, has just started giving the first steps of his career, Cmix, the pappy, has a journey that started a few decades ago. The seasoned producer has been flirting with trippy and darkness-infused cuts for quite some time – and that’s exactly the kind of sonority he has been tutoring his son.
The track we selected to premiere reveals what the established/promising duo is capable of. Energetic, upbeat, melodic, and well-constructed, “Exhale” is a super fat-basslined arpeggio-based tune whose positive message invites you to go nuts on the dance floor.
