This release has an interesting fun fact: The main artist, Lucas Maquiavelo aka Artiom, stopped making music a few years ago. One of the remixers, Ethan Fawkes, had the stems of the original in an old HD and asked him if he would like to have his track released this year along with a few new versions. Lucas, fortunately, agreed with the idea.

The single, “Spirits Are Here”, comes with solid interpretations by The Dark Robot, Grandchaos, and aforementioned Ethan Fawkes, the curator of the peculiar endeavour and also co-owner of the label Nu Body Records, established in 2018.

A seasoned DJ and producer mainly focused on Old-School Rave Techno and EBM, Ethan is based in Tiff, Belgium, and has been fighting the good fight for almost thirty years but has been in love with music since he was ten years old. The flame is still so hot that he keeps digging “new” tracks in old hard drives.

For his interpretation of “Spirits Are Here”, Mr. Fawkes opened the vaults of his Techno & EBM influences and added shards of Leftfield in the recipe. The result is a fast-paced beast (130 BPM, baby) with a stompy stride and a trippy atmosphere.
