The acclaimed mixtape series IN DARK WE TRUST, curated by seasoned and respected Berlin-based DJ and producer Berny, has become a label. IDWT has been delivering high-quality Indie Dance/Dark Disco singles for over a year and has already gathered a starry roster: Fred Berthet, DJ Rocca (SXDNS021/BLOG003), Cabizbajo, BadWolf (FREEDL025), Alberto Melloni, and Beyond The Struttosphere (SXDNS263), just to name a few, have already appeared on the rising outlet.
Interestingly, no EPs or compilations here, singles only. At least so far, the imprint has focused on bringing to life one unique piece at a time. We don’t know about you, but we, sexy dinosaurs, tend to appreciate such a format.
For its next instalment, the label welcomes ØBLVN, a promising Mexican duo with previous works published on important platforms such as Veneno, NEIN, Phisica, and Discos Prohibidos. Their “Ritual” comes packed with the characteristic blend of their individual influences, seamlessly assembled, resulting in a dark and muscular cut with a trippy but stompy gait and obscure but upbeat atmosphere.
