A little more than one year ago, Kyma Komplex brought to life its very first release: A powerful single by Veltrán & Corresponsal, two of the most prominent artists of the new electronic music Mexican scene. For its 25th instalment, the rising & shining outlet opens the doors for Paris-born Milan-based DJ and producer Karen Menad, an eclectic and skilled young talent with well-received incursions through the House, Techno, and Indie Dance kingdoms.

The interesting “Elektric & Circle Room” EP showcases Ms Menad capabilites with its two frenzied originals. On the remix duties, in-house artists Ledi Cannit + Veltrán and Brazilian duo Classic Dellas came up with striking interpretations.

Premiered here, “Elektric” opens the release with a “crazy and confused” gait. Explaining: The theme was concocted still during the tough times we all lived during the COVID pandemic and expresses exactly what Karen was experiencing when the effects of the lockdowns were not so far away to have lapsed. Despite the sad background, fast-forwarding to the present, what we have here is a fangy and savage cut to be enjoyed on packed and sweaty dance floors while rubbing elbows and connecting with the crowd in order to recover the time we lost not so long ago. The closer, the better!
